Driver – (Currently have one position open)

DRIVERS Wanted — Full Time Position — Local Driving – No Overnight – Great work environment

We are looking to add to our team of drivers. We have an assortment of smaller vehicles that our drivers utilize to deliver construction equipment and supplies to job-sites and customer’s yards. Some of the vehicles are Transit Vans, E350 Vans, 16′ Rack body and 20′ tilt bed and other similar sized trucks. Sometimes van and trailer combination.

Work Environment / Physical Activity Description:
The work environment and physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions;
Climbing, standing, stooping, kneeling, walking throughout the day.
Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab or climb on top of load, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.).

Occasionally will use hand tools, forklift, pallet jack to assist customers.

May load or assist with loading and appropriately securing product, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle.

12) STRONG SENSE OF DIRECTION

A CDL with Hazmat endorsement is a plus.

Inside Salesperson – (Currently no openings)

Job Description and Qualifications Wanted

This position is for a person to provide customer service and support with established customer base, to maintain and increase sales of key accounts, with focus on new account growth. It requires the ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities and exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment as it relates to assigned responsibilities and projects.

1. Phone & e-mail – answering phones and responding to e-mails professionally & timely.

2. High volume of customer quotes – price & delivery by phones, fax, or email.

3. Determining correct material based on customer specifications.

4. Obtaining quotes from vendors for material and outside processing.

5. Sales Order & Purchase order entry.

6. Assume responsibility of key house accounts.

7. Coordination with Outside Sales and Management. Information & feedback.

8. Follow up and communication with customers – status & delivery.

9. Coordination with Purchasing – stock levels and delivery.

10. Initiate & follow up on customer returns and problems (credits & complaints).

11. Maintains paper and digital records/files for the respective department.

12. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as directed.

13. Be required to sign a non-compete and non-disclosure contract.

Qualifications — Education, Training and/or Experience:

1.  High school diploma or GED.

2.  1- 3 years increasingly responsible experience in an inside sales position.

3.  Previous experience working in fast paced sales environment.

Outside Sales Representative (Currently one Opening)

To prosper with us you need to expect a long day, have a really good sales personality, intelligence, strong organizational skills, heart, a big customer service ethic and a car for openers. You need to be passionate about your job. We will be there to back you with technical support, an established account base and leads. You will get a cellphone, too. Do you have to know about every product we have to offer? NO, at least not at first. That would be ridiculous. You will need a good memory and a head to match items with applications because you won’t be able to get along on a gift of gab and by bringing donuts for very long. Our customers expect expertise after a short while and have a right to it. Smoke and mirrors have no place at Gamka. Don’t expect to us to baby sit you, we won’t micro-manage after you get up to speed. Sales Professionals don’t need it and that is what we want to hire. You will need to do call reports and expense reports and a weekly calendar in advance but that is pretty much it, after selling, of course.

Once your customers know you know what you are doing, price objections will fade and orders flourish. Our prices are competitive but we believe that good application information, dependable and quick delivery and products that are tops have a value that we expect to get paid for. We don’t need to practice, we are here to make profits, isn’t that the point?  Mechanic – Good Mechanics Wanted (Currently one Opening)

This is a full time position for a construction equipment mechanic with a minimum of 2 or more years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of light to medium-sized construction equipment.

This job requires a sound knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines. Additional experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus. Compensation will be in proportion to the experience. In addition, to be considered, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

1.      Clean driving record
2.      Pass a drug test initially and randomly during employment
3.      No criminal background
4.      Speak, read and write English fluently
5.      Have a social security card
